January Newsletter
Spring semester is underway, and we are moving full speed ahead at Chesterton Academy of the Most Holy Eucharist! To give a sense of the recent activity here: Our students launched into the new semester at the beginning of the month with a week dedicated to reading, analyzing, and performing Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. We hosted a Game Night that gathered youth from our Parish Family Faith Formation community together with St. Isidore and Chesterton School students. Our school families prayed and marched alongside our Sacramento Chesterton peers and multitudinous faithful at the West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco, and most recently, we kicked off Catholic Schools Week on Sunday with a barbeque and open house. Thank you to all who stopped by for a burger and stayed for the fellowship!
Wow, it has been a full month of events! All of these opportunities speak to the joy that it is our community here at Chesterton. We are thankful for the family and parish relationships that enrich our school; our educational environment begins with the family and extends to the parish, community, and world!
We invite you to continue to participate in our ongoing community events throughout this Catholic Schools Week. This Friday evening, our students will host the Narnia Winter Ball -- one of several gatherings throughout the year with our Chesterton Network in Northern California; this will be an exciting night of dancing fun for the Chesterton Academy students in Yuba City, Dixon, and Sacramento .... and for you!
We invite you to join us in the St. Isidore Parish Hall from 6-10 PM this Friday for the Friends of Chesterton Lounge during the Narnia Ball. Parents, benefactors, and staff will enjoy light appetizers, quality conversation, and a chance to witness the waltz and swing dances that our students have worked hard to master over many weeks of dance class!*
*Please RSVP by clicking the invitation below and filling out the Google Form if you plan to attend
Please also consider praying with us during our monthly Holy Hour this Thursday and attending the Feast of the Presentation Mass this Friday morning in which our students will be serving and singing.
Spread the word to prospective families!
